Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (formerly known as National Rail and Transportation Institute) [GSV], Vadodara established in 2022 is a Central University. GSV Vadodara is approved by UGC. Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya - GSV Vadodara is a Central University providing Transport and Logistics education in India. The University was established following the act passed in the Parliament in the year 2022 and is sponsored by the Ministry of Railways. GSV previously existed by the name of National Rail & Transportation Institute (NRTI). It is approved by AICTE and UGC.
Vision: The University is working with a vision to create, assimilate, and disseminate education in the transportation and logistics sectors.
Mission: It is working to achieve its mission of becoming a prominent educational hub for futuristic education and research by collaborating with industries, companies, and renowned professionals.
GSV offers courses in Technology and Management streams. The multiple programs run by the university include MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, BBA in Transport Management, B.Sc in Transportation Technology, MBA in Transport Economics and Management, and B.Tech in different disciplines.
The Executive Council (EC) is the authority that handles the admission for UG and PG courses in the university. The reservation criteria are considered by EC while admitting students for various courses. Students enrolling for B.Tech courses are selected on the basis of the JEE scores. For other UG courses, selection of the candidates will be based on CUET-UG scores. Admissions to the PG program (MBA) are based on the marks scored by the applicants in CAT/ XAT/MAT/ CUET-PG exams and performance in Personal Interview. However, candidates sponsored by the Ministry of Railways are exempted from the entrance exam for postgraduate courses.

GSV students are offered scholarships based on the merit and the annual family income of students. It offers scholarships to 20% of admitted students in the university. The scholarship amount is determined based on merit-cum-means of the applicants. The table below shows the criteria of the scholarship based on the gross annual family income of the applicants:
