UMU has a Career Advisory and Placement Cell which assists, guides, and supports the students. The Cell provides career counseling and training on stress management, communication, behavior, etc., organises industrial visits, workshops, seminars, conferences, and guest lectures, and conducts mock interviews and group exercises. It also helps in preparing CVs and cover letters and provides internship opportunities to the students.
