Female students can be a part of this university, but before applying for admission, the candidate needs to go through the Assam Women’s University Entrance Test (AWUET). Students can apply for admission to this university in two ways as it entertains both online and offline admissions. The student can visit the website of the university, fill out the form online by selecting the Online Admission Portal option present on the HOME page or can visit the campus to fill out the form in person. If an applicant wishes to opt for more than one program, then they need to fill separate forms for each subjects.
To provide financial aid and support to female students in their higher studies, AWU offers multiple government scholarships under various schemes to its students like Minority Scholarship, Fee Waiver Scheme, CBSE Single Girl Child, Combined Merit Scholarship, etc. The Fee Waiver Scheme is an opportunity given to females with financially weaker backgrounds. This scheme is applicable for 1st-year admissions and for courses like M.Sc / M.Com / MA / B.Com / B.Sc / BA. Located at Jamuguri, Rowriah, Assam, the campus of the AWU is 1 km away from the airport of Rowriah and 7 km away from ISBT and Jorhat Railway Station.
