VIT Bhopal University is a private university set up in the year 2017 on the highway from Bhopal to Indore. The university was established by the Vellore Institute of Technology.
Programs offered at the university are 4 years of B.Tech, 5 years of B.Arch, and many UG & other integrated PG programs. It is offering a B.Tech degree in aerospace engineering at this campus. It is expanding in the field of aerospace and is producing aerospace and aircraft engineers. The university also has a degree program in gaming technology. The gaming department has been organizing many events, projects, and workshops for students. This is really unique and one of the types of courses offered at the campus. The students can really think about making a career as game developers and designers. The campus has coding labs for the students who wish to study cyber security degree. Students can become forensic experts and ethical experts after completing this program. The university is also offering BBA, B.Sc, and M.Sc in biotechnology at this Bhopal campus. All these courses offered at the university are really career oriented.
The leadership at the university is also interesting and good. The faculty and staff are really experienced, talented and produce quality students. VIT University Bhopal has also got ISO certification from the Netherlands and also received accreditation from UK & USA. The VIT has other campuses located in Chennai, Vellore and Amravati.
VIT Bhopal University has its own entrance exam named VITEEE. The full form of the test is the Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Examination. It is a common entrance test for all engineering & MCA programs. Students based on the ranks and scores they secure in the entrance exams are given counselling dates. The students have to fill their choice of programs and they can opt for the program they want to take admission during counselling. The students are selected based on the ranks they secured in the computer-based exam. The syllabus and entire examination pattern are already uploaded on the university’s website. The students have the choice and liberty to choose the campus they want to study in. After the fee submission, students can join the online/offline classes as decided by the college.
Students who want to study architecture can also take admission based on the ranks and scores that they have secured in the NATA or other exam. For other UG and PG courses, there is no entrance exam. Students have to fill out the online application form and submit it to the university. The students who are shortlisted based on their 10+2 or graduation marks will be called for counselling.
VIT Bhopal University gives scholarships to talented and needy students based on their merit and performance. It also gives support to the meritorious students and also the foreign students if they truly deserve it. The university also promotes sports people and gives them the needed financial aid and scholarships if they have excelled in the game they play. The university gives 100% tuition fee scholarships to the students who have topped their state/central board exams. The scholarship is valid for 4 years or during the entire program. There are also other provisions for scholarships to the students based on their VITEEE ranks. If a student has been ranked in the top 50, he will get a 75% tuition fee scholarship. The students whose ranks are between 51 and 100 will get a 50% waiver on their tuition fees. The last category in this scholarship is the students whose ranks are between 101 and 1000. They will be given a 25% scholarship.
VIT Bhopal University ensures that students get placed in their chosen sector. The university has its own centralized placement system just like the admission system they have on campus. The career development centre of the university is a major platform that helps students from the first semester. This centre provides training and counselling to the students so that they can shape their skills and coding techniques. The highest package of VIT Bhopal in 2022 was 59 LPA, and it was given by Krypto.
PAT is also known as the Placement and Training Cell at the campus deals with the placements of students. It coordinates with the career development centre in grooming the students for job placements. The placement cell has collaborated with more than 700 companies as of now. In the last few years, many companies like eBay, Amazon, Tata Motors, Bosch etc have visited the campus. Ashok Leyland, Ford, and Morgan Stanley have also come to the campus and hired deserving students. The placement season for 2023 has also begun. Motorq has offered around 1 Crore LPA, and Microsoft is offering dream offers to students. The cell was actively helping students to get recruited during covid 19.
The university also has many internship programs. It has collaborated with many organisations so that students can work as interns and get the required experience in their field. The student can apply and get an internship in the 3rd year itself. Placement cell again plays a major role in getting internships for students in good companies. The students were able to get internships in many start-ups and Indian companies. Students got internship offers from Hitachi, HP, L&T etc. The university students also have got international offers and they went to do their internships in the UK, Japan, Israel and USA.
The statistics for 2021 show that 92.8% of students have been placed, of which 17.5% got super dream offers. More than 900 offers in total were given to the VIT Bhopal students.
VIT Bhopal University Bhopal has one of the best lush green campuses in the country. It is spread over 250 acres of land on the Bhopal highway in the Sehore area of Madhya Pradesh. The institute has all the world-class facilities and infrastructure that a student could think of.

The students can opt for their own food menu based on their eating choices. The mess offers North to South Indian cuisines. The campus also has full-time security arrangements and hospital facilities to meet medical emergencies. The campus has ATM, swimming, and salon facilities for the students who reside in the hostels.
