Quantum University, Roorkee was established in the year 2008 as a private body of institutes providing higher education and has received recognition from the esteemed UGC, BCI and PCI. Quantum University, Roorkee, Uttarakhand founded in 2008 by Shri Ram Sunder Goyal, was set up as a Private Educational Institute for Higher Education. It initially provided education in the fields of Engineering and Management. The stream of Humanities added later. It has both AICTE and UGC approvals. The management of Quantum University is currently under the supervision of Dr. A. K. Khare, who is serving as the Director.

Candidates applying for the B.Tech or B.Tech+ M.B.A. degree should qualify the Entrance Exam conducted by the university or any other State Level Entrance Examination. For admission in B.Sc Animation & VFX/UI & Graphic Design, candidates who qualified NID DAT (Prelims) will get preference. The entrance to the M.Tech course curriculum is a subject to the GATE score. A candidate qualifying CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT with good marks will get admissions for the MBA program M.Phil and Ph.D. admissions based on the Entrance Test continued by an interview. The UGC NET or GATE/CSIR JRF qualified students are also eligible to apply for the courses.
Quantum University, Roorkee held the head high by maintaining the No. 1 rank continuously in 2018 for the placements of students in B.Tech course among all the Engineering Colleges in India. Award of ‘Best Institute for Industry-Academia Interface- North India’ bestowed on the University by Shri Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister HRD, in Feb 2017. The University’s rank in the highly esteemed IMRB Ranking was 2nd among Engineering Colleges of Uttarakhand. Quantum also received the award of being the No.1 Engineering College in North India for the promotion of Innovative approach, by Gujarat’s Education Minister.
Institute understands this well, therefore, offers an exceptionally well-maintained library and information center. A library serves as the nerve center for any Institute. It keeps the students and faculty informed and connects them to the global knowledge resources. The Q-Library adapts the new challenges and demands while providing the specialized and favorable atmosphere for learning activities through which it empowers its users.
The library can get 200 students seated at a time. It contains more than 23,000 volumes which include books, reports, standards, proceedings and over 150 National and International journals. It is a good source of knowledge in various subjects of Engineering, Management, Administration and related areas. The library houses relevant reports for an industry valued reports, standards, magazines, newsletters, and journals. The subscription for Journals is also available for faculty and the students. Quantum is also in its way to establish a digitalized library.
