Prasanna College of Ayurveda & Hospital has a presence since January 2013. The Prasanna Education Trust (PET) is the PCAH’s sponsoring body. The PET is traceable to Laila in Belthangady in India’s Karnataka state. The College has affiliation with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Moreover, the Center has the approval of the Central Council of Indian Medicines.
The College commenced operations during the year 2016. Presently, the College’s 3rd academic year is underway, having 100 pupils per batch.
Since inception, the College has grown to become one of India’s best private Ayurvedic colleges. The Center offers value-added Ayurveda care to the pupils.
Built with modern infrastructure, the College campus offers a host of facilities. That said, the Prasanna Ayurveda College Karnataka library has an array of educational resources to enhance the students’ learning experience.
The Prasanna Ayurvedic Medical College entrance examination for the College’s popular BAMS course is the popular NEET exam. Upon successfully clearing the exam and meeting the other eligibility norms, the College admits the candidates in the program.
The PAMC was the vision of Sri. K. Gangadhara Gowda. He is the Trust’s President and the Ex-Minister of the Karnataka Government. His objective of setting up the Trust was to cater to the quality healthcare needs of the people of Karnataka. Besides, the Trust works to serve the educational needs of the community members. As such, the Center receives applications for courses in a host of disciplines.
To contribute to society, the Trust engages in socio-cultural programs and knowledge dissemination. In fact, the Foundation manages 10 institutions that provide education from primary levels to higher studies. These are grouped under the Prasanna Group of Institutions.
The Trust has the vision of establishing PAMC as one of India’s renowned Ayurveda institutions. Furthermore, the students have a stimulating and academically-rich atmosphere that gives the Center a sustainable competitive edge advantage.
Amid a picturesque backdrop, the PCAH is traceable, and the surrounding environment is suitable for pursuing Ayurveda studies. Ayurveda is based on ancient traditions, through the practice of which the society members are to lead disciplined lives. In the process, they gain freedom from life’s miseries. Also, Ayurveda remedies aim at treating the underlying causes for the patients’ holistic treatment. Indeed, the College houses a hospital that contains 100 beds for giving the much-needed care to the patients.
The hospital has several wards that are spacious and have efficient ventilation systems. Also, there are wards (with the inclusion of general, semi-special, and special ones). In turn, the authorities can cater to the varied medical care requirements of all society members.
As part of the PAMC’s healthcare facilities, the Center follows conventional practices of Pancha Karma and Yoga. Also, there is use of advanced diagnostic and surgical tools, in addition to having obstetric OT provisions.
For treating the patients, the College’s well-trained staff members advise on consuming nutritious diet and following healthy lifestyle patterns.
There are several Ayurveda treatments for availing at the Prasanna Ayurveda Medical College. The Patra Churna Pinda Sweda is a steam-based treatment. The Panchakarma is for the body detoxification. The Abhyangam entails body massages with warm oil. The Kaya Seka is soothing for the body via soft massages with warm medicated oils. The Kativasti is a kind of low back therapy, using hot oil massages. By applying medical puddings, the patients can perspire through the Shashtika Shali Pinda Sweda. In Udwarthanam, by applying upward strokes and herbal powders, the tissues receive a massage. The Shirodhara therapy lasts for 30 minutes where there is massaging of the head, shoulders, and neck with warm herbal-based oils for treating various disorders.
