The Sushrutha Ayurvedic Medical College’s (SAMC) year of establishment is 2002.  At Jivani in Bangalore city of India’s Karnataka state, the College is situated. The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and SAMC are affiliated. Moreover, the College has the recognition of the Government of Karnataka. Besides, the College has the approval of Ayush that is the government body specializing in alternative medicine. Additionally, the Central Council of Indian Medicine (C.C.I.M) has accredited the College.

The SAMC is part of the Sushrutha Group of Institutions. In fact, the College was the dream of the renowned visionary leader, Guruji Sri H.R. Nagendra. He is a Researcher and the founder of Vivekananda Yoga Anusandana Samsthana (VYASA) that is based in Bangalore. The College was built by him as per the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. Also, he had the support of Dr. R. Nagaratna and others for developing the College.

The SAMC’s managing body is the Yadalam Trust that is, also, based in Bangalore city. During the year 2001, the Trust was founded. The Trust’s aim is to provide the required support to the less-privileged classes for improving their standard of living.
