Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences (BAMS)
The College’s full-time, 5.5-year BAMS course is an undergraduate-level one. This is inclusive of a 1-year rotating internship. The course curriculum is as per norms of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in Bangalore.
The candidates who are applying via the general category have to pass their 10+2 examination/PUC or equivalent, as recognized by the RGUHS. Also, their minimum score should be 50% marks in English, as well as 50% in PCB aggregate marks. For the reserved categories, 40% is the required minimum score.
Furthermore, the applicants have to appear for the entrance examinations, KCET/COMEDK, and score minimum 50% marks. For the reserved sections, 40% has to their minimum score.
The age limit of the aspirants has to be 17 years before 31st December in the year that they are applying.
If hailing from outside Karnataka, the candidate has to obtain the Eligibility Certificate and Migration Certificate from the RGUHS. Moreover, if the applicant has cleared their 10+2 exams out of India, then they must furnish the Foreign Eligibility Certificate from RGUHS.
In the case of NRI and NRI-sponsored groups, they need the Eligibility Certificate from RGUHS. Moreover, they should get clearance from the Local Police Commissioner, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi, and respective foreign embassies.
As per the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) provisions, the students who are selected for admissions to the Postgraduate medical programs in any of the country’s medical institutions have to obtain permanent registration from the CCIM, or any other State Medical Council. Also, they have to do so within 1 month of their admission. Or else, their admission is canceled.
For Foreign Nationals, the CCIM grants temporary registration for the duration of the Postgraduate course. However, they have to be duly registered as medical practitioners in the country from where they have secured the basic Medical qualification. Also, India’s concerned authorities should recognize their degrees.
