KTG Ayurvedic Medical College, Bangalore Best Courses
KTC Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital offers only BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery). This undergraduate Ayurvedic study course is recognized by ‘Central Council of Indian Medicine.’ The Central Council of Indian Medicine is a regulatory body under the aegis of Ministry of Ayush, vide IMCC Act 1970.
The college can register a maximum of 60 students for the course every year. The minimum academic qualification required to become eligible is pass in the final 10+2 examination of any recognized education board. Any candidate who has cleared his higher secondary examination (science stream) from an approved state/central board can apply for BAMS.
Additionally, the student has to secure a minimum of 50% marks in chemistry, biology, and physics on an aggregate basis. The college’s BAMS program is a full-time, regular course with a 5-1/2 year academic period. The students receive the ‘Ayurvedacharaya’ certification after successfully clearing the final examination.
The students also have to complete a mandatory one-year internship on a rotary basis.
KTC Ayurvedic College BAMS Course Curriculum
- 1st professional year study topics-Ayurvedic history, physiology, anatomy, Ayurvedic philosophy, Sanskrit, and Samhita
- 2nd professional year subjects-Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals, Ayurveda Materia Medica, social and personal hygiene, Charaka Samhita, pulse diagnosis, pathology, toxicology, and jurisprudence
- 3rd professional year subject-matters-Yoga, health regulations, medical ethics, pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, dentistry, eye, and ENT, general surgery and general medicine
Please note that each professional year extends for 18 months.
