Bombay Flying Club offers various courses in the field of aviation. All the courses are duly approved by the Government of Maharashtra and accepted worldwide.
The institute imparts the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program in Avionics and Mechanical stream. This three-year course is divided into six semesters. In the initial five semesters, students are provided theoretical and practical training and during last semester, only on-job practical training is provided. The program prepares students for appearing in the DGCA exam. Students need to clear the semester examinations to appear in BAMEL, a basic license examination. As the aviation sector is increasing, this field has many opportunities for students.
Candidates willing to take admission must have a minimum of 50% aggregate in Mathematics and Physics in 10+2 or Diploma recognized by AICTE. Candidates who have completed any DGCA acceptable certification equivalent to a diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering or B.Sc/M.Sc.
Academia offers three years of Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation and Aeronautics. A candidate with 17 years of age and passed HSC examination from a recognized board or any other equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics can apply for this course.
This course equips a student with skills that are necessary for the field of aviation and broadens the perspective in the field of management and specialization.
Institute offers a CPL course that needs to be completed in a period of 8-10 months. Students learn solo/dual, circuit and landing stories, and general flying. A total of two hundred hours of flying training is provided to the students. After the completion of training, a license is issued by the academia that is internationally valid.
Candidates willing to take admission must have completed 10+2 from recognized board/institute with Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
A candidate who wants to be a Licensed Pilot can opt for a Private Pilot License program. The program offers unlimited freedom of flying. The program provides flight training from ability level to Private Pilot’s License. The course duration is of 3 to 4 months and involves a flying time of 40 hours. On this course completion, a candidate becomes a Pilot of the passenger aircraft or cargo.
For obtaining a Commercial Pilot License and Private Pilot’s license, Student Pilot License is necessary. Flight experience is not required to get SPL. Candidate with 16 years of age and minimum qualification of X standard during the issue of the license is mandatory.
Institute offers a one-year diploma in the field of Aviation Safety and Hospitality. This course is specially designed for the people who are interested in joining as a cabin crew in airlines. The institute has produced many engineers and captains who are working in Jet Airways, Air India, Singapore Airlines, Spice Jet, Kingfisher Airlines, etc.
