LPU (also known as Lovely Professional University), Jalandhar established in 2005 is a Private University, currently having 45th position in NIRF Ranking 2024 and 451-500 score out of 760 in QS Asia 2023. LPU Jalandhar is approved by NCTE, COA, PCI, IAP, BCI, UGC, ACU, ITPI, PSCAE, AIU and IAU, and is accredited by ACBSP and NAAC-A++. Admission in LPU is offered in Engineering, Management and Humanities at UG/ PG/ Diploma/ Doctorate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students.

LPU came into existence in year 2005. The university is located in Phagwara, Punjab. The university is built on National Highway and therefore commuting is never an issue as Jalandhar City is close by and Ludhiana and Amritsar are to its west and east respectively. Application Form of LPUNest
The LPU Nest application form is an OMR (Optional Mark Reader) which can be given online as well as there are centres assigned for it. The booklet of LPUNEST has all the details of Eligibility, Programmes applicable, Course Fee and Scholarship, Question Paper Pattern, Schedule of Test, and Test Cities among others. Fees of LPU Nest Kit varies for softcopy to printed kit. The fees is 1000 & 500 respectively for boys and girls. The printed copy fees is Rs. 1,500 & Rs. 1,000 for boys and girls respectively. There are several payment methods too as one can use UPI, Net Banking, or Debit or Credit Card for the payments.
Step 4: All your qualification details and general information is required. The general information includes details such as address details and like Aadhar card number.
Step 5: Lastly about the exams as candidate has to book the preferred venue, time, and date as per his/her choice give the LPUNEST Exam. Hall ticket can be downloaded from the portal.
There’s another option too and that is an Offline Mode where one can obtain LPUNEST Kit directly from the University Campus or there are some other places where they provide the kit by paying the prescribed fees. The cost of online and offline is the same.

They also can’t have any information from portal because their application is considered invalid. Such applicants will not be able to access the LPU portal. Well, if they say that getting a good job from campus is not easy than LPU Placements are the answer for it. Every student of the university gets a fair chance of getting in a reputed company. Many companies come to LPU Campus placements for interviews and offers jobs to the able students. One big credit for such charismatic placements of LPU goes to its placement cell as it makes the student of the university pragmatic, confident, and dexterous. The placements have gone various levels up and 2022 was indeed a break out year for the university. Top companies of Silicon Valley such as Apple, Microsoft, and Google have participated in placement drive at the university. Around 500 companies offered a CTC of Rs. 5 Lakhs and more to LPU students. A student named Harekrishna Mahto created history by getting placed in Google India with a package of Rs. 64 Lakhs which is a record thus far. Students getting packages in between 10-62 Lakhs were over 400 and this proves the mettle of the kind of placements that the university provides. The highest international package received by an LPU student is of Rs. 3 crores. Most of the top placements have been given to B. Tech (CSE) students.
The top recruiters of the university in recent years have been IBM, Cognizant, Capgemini, LTTS, Wipro, TCS, DXC, Mphasis, Accenture, Bosch, Amazon, and IBM among others.
LPU facilities boast everything as the 600-acre campus is fully developed and has no loop holes to be mentioned. In short, the infrastructure of LPU is one of the largest in the world. The entire LPU campus is surrounded by gardens and trees and gardens. Well, the vegetation inside the campus ensures a comfortable learning and teaching environment. All in all, LPU offers a healthy and pollution-free environment which is indeed one of the major highlights.
Library is indeed one of the major attractions here. There are many auxiliary libraries too and combing the central and auxiliary libraries. There are lakhs of books that helps student to clear all their doubts. Apart from books, the central library also has a large collection of journals, newspapers, magazines, etc., so it also serves some recreation purposes of the students.
If library wasn’t enough, then take a bow with the university labs. Out of nearly 100 labs, the two that stood out are the MAC Lab and the chemistry lab of the university. Since, the university also offers airline courses, an Aviation lab too has been set-up at the campus.
Sports can’t be far behind as the sporting facilities here needs no introduction. Almost all the major sports that are played in India are there at the university campus. From cricket ground, to football field, to taekwondo and boxing ring, one will find it all. If that wasn’t all then there is skating rink, a bowling alley and yoga and fitness centres to release some stress in the time of distress.
The facilities can’t get stop here as discussing what Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium bring to the table is the least that one can talk about. It is indeed one of the largest indoor auditoriums of the country. The name of the auditorium is Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium. Apart from auditorium, there’s also an open-air theatre at the campus and one small auditorium in Baldev Raj Mittal Auditorium that also hosts small events of the university.
LPU University also has a Mall and many food joints including an outlet of Cafe Coffee Day. African Café is the major highlights among the cafés of the university and there is one sweet shop too inside the campus. There are quite a few banks and ATMs at the campus too.
Last but not the least, LPU also has the best set of hostels for boys and girls. From single rooms to twin sharing and triple sharing as most hostel rooms have triple sharing rooms. The hostel fees of rooms vary from hostel to hostels. The hostels of LPU has all the major facilities like a convenience store, in-house laundry, and hospital.
Lovely Professional University popularly known as LPU among the student community is the largest university in the country offering Undergraduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG) courses in various education disciplines like Management, Law, Engineering, Economics, Home Science, Architecture, Fashion Designing etc. LPU has tie ups with more than 200 universities internationally, and is recognized by UGC, NCTE, and AIU. Lovely Professional University has a massive library which consists of more than 150000 books, 4000 + digital resources, and 300 odd printed journals and magazines. The multi-storied library can accommodate all the students in the university. To promote online learning, the university authority also provided the facility of cyber cafes in the library.
It’s not just Academics but also sports where the students of LPU have shown their exception skills thanks to the sport training infrastructure at LPU. Asian Games, Asian Handball Championships, National Games have seen representation and winners from LPU cadre.
