Candidates who desire to secure admission in MCA offered at LPU must score qualifying marks / valid rank in entrance exams like LPUNEST or CUET. They must have 60% score as minimum eligibility criteria in the below-mentioned Bachelor’s Degrees:

* Candidates who have not studied Computer as one of the core subjects at Graduation Level must study the additional / bridge subjects that will be scheduled before the starting of classes or along with the regular course.
** Around 5% relaxation within the minimum eligibility criteria will be provided to candidates coming in the categories like Defence Personnel and their dependents / North-East States / Children of Kashmiri Migrants / Sikkim.
The entrance exams considered by LPU for MCA admissions are Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST).
CUET is a National Entrance Test that is organised on all India Level and is conducted by National Testing Agency. This entrance exam is organised every year for admission to various UG and PG courses.
LPUNEST is a university-level test that is organised every year to get admission in various LPU courses. The university follows the below-mentioned pattern for LPUNEST:

Step 1: Register for LPUNEST
Candidates need to book their slots to appear in LPUNEST for which they must register their application either via offline or online mode. For online application, they are required to visit the official website and submit the application fee as mentioned. Candidates can register offline by visiting the campus or by filling up the unique code in the space provided in the online application form. The code is given in the hard copy of the application form.
Step 2: Appear for LPUNEST
There are two options available through which candidates can appear in LPUNEST. These options include Online Remotely Proctored LPUNEST exam from Home and Test Centre Based Exam. The first one is for those candidates who want to give the exam from their home. The second option is for those candidates who are interested in giving exams from the test centres assigned to them.
Step 3: Result Announcement
This entrance exam is conducted on a different schedule. The university will announce marks of each candidate after the completion of each schedule. The university will declare the final result sheet for MCA after the completion of the whole process.
Step 4: Document Verification
Candidates need to physically appear at the campus for the document verification process. They must also submit the remaining fee within the given time.
