University of Kashmir Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Srinagar

Located in Hazratbal, Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir, University of Kashmir is surrounded by picturesque sceneries all around the campus. The University is spread over 247 acres and offers the students the scenic beauty of Dal Lake and Nigeen Lake.

University of Kashmir hostel offers the students a comfortable stay. In total, there are 9 hostels, out of which 5 are for the accommodation of boys and the remaining are for girls' accommodation.

The boys' hostels are listed below:

1. Meboob-ul-Alam, Boys Hostel
2. Maulana Anwar Shah, Boys Hostel
3. Sheikh ul Aalam, Boys Hostel
4. Sheikh ul Aalam Zakura Block B, Boys Hostel
5. Gani Kashmiri Research Scholar INN, Boys Hostel    

In the M.A. boys hostel, there are 76 rooms available out of which 28 rooms offer triple occupancy whereas the remaining 48 are dual occupancy.

The girls' hostels are listed below:

1. Habba Khatoon, Girls Hostel
2. Rabia Basri, Girls Hostel
3. Quarat ul Ain Haider Girls Hostel, Girls Hostel          
4. Bi Bi Aamina Girls Hostel

In the H.K. Girls hostel, 59 rooms are present. 25 rooms are dual occupancy, 16 with a triple, and the remaining with four-bed capacity.

In the R.B Girls hostel 41 rooms are available, 38 with four-bed capacity and 3 with six-bed capacity.

University of Kashmir hostel rooms provide basic facilities to all the boarders including some furniture. 

University of Kashmir hostel food is served by the hostel mess present in every hostel.

• Recreational room for the overall growth of the residents is available.

University of Kashmir hostel rules:

• Cooking inside the room is strictly forbidden. No self-cooking is allowed.
• Students coming from outside the state are given preference during the hostel seat allotments.
