Government College of Pharmacy Karad

Students of Government College of Pharmacy have been placed in Innovative Drug Research Solutions, Zuventus Healthcare, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Labcorp Drug Development, Macleods Pharmaceuticals, etc.

The campus of Government College of Pharmacy covers an area of approximately 8 acres. It is situated near Krishna-Koyana river bank in Karad. The college classrooms have the latest teaching and learning aids such as AV systems, LCDs, etc. The list of facilities provided by the college is given below:

• Library: The library is stocked with study materials of various disciplines in the fields of Pharmacy and Life Sciences. Study resources include books, titles, National and International journals, back volumes, magazines, and newspapers in digital and print formats. There is a reading room with computers in the library where students can access digital formats of study resources such as CD /DVD. The College library additionally provides access to e-library networks like:

• Laboratories: The computer lab is equipped with the latest hardware and a high-speed Internet connection. Students are provided training on pharmaceutical software for an experiential learning. The departmental laboratories are equipped with the required tools to provide practical learning experience to the students.
• Auditorium: The College auditorium is air-conditioned and has LCD projectors for organising conferences, seminars, and cultural events. It has a seating capacity for around 200 people.
• Cafeteria: The College has a canteen in the campus to offer snacks and beverages to students.
• Hostel: The boys’ hostel is present in the College campus and has facilities like gym, television for entertainment purposes, water heater, water purifier and cooler, newspapers, etc. Security guards are appointed round the clock to ensure the safety of the students. Moreover, cleanliness is maintained on a regular basis by the cleaning staff.
• Sports: There is a gymkhana department set-up by the College which looks after the sports infrastructure and activities. Students actively participate in the tournaments held at various levels. An annual sports event is organised in the College including various games such as kabaddi, carom, kho-kho, cricket, volleyball, table tennis, etc.
• Other Facilities: Well-maintained medicinal plant garden, etc.
