In 2010, the foundation stone of Banda University of Agriculture and Technology (BUAT) was laid down in Banda. It was previously named as Manyawar Shri Kanshiram Ji University of Agriculture and Technology. It is a State University approved by the UGC. It also has recognition from the ICAR.

Banda University of Agriculture and Technology Fee Structure
The University’s campus has separate buildings for its colleges within its premises. All these buildings have necessary facilities like Lecture Rooms, Teaching Laboratories, Computer Labs, Examination Halls, etc. Banda University of Agriculture and Technology also offers accommodation facilities for its students. To engage students in sports activities, a Stadium has been made within the campus. A Convenience Centre has also been built within the campus that provides students with basic facilities like a Bank, Post Office, Stationery, Medical Store, etc. The campus also has a Central Library named as “Rashtrakavi Maithili Sharan Gupt Library.” The library consists of 13200+ Print Books, 10+ Magazines, 70+ Manuals, 5+ Newspapers, 1200+ Periodicals, 200+ Print Journals, and E-Resources.
