Viva Institute of Pharmacy Virar started its operations in 2010 under the aegis of Vishnu Waman Thakur Charitable Trust. The Institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It is accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE. VIP Palghar is recognised by PCI.

The Institute has a Placement & Career Guidance Cell that organises campus placement drives and offers an exposure to industrial interaction to the students in order to provide them an insight of the professional world.
