Indira Gandhi University Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Rewari

Indira Gandhi University offers hostel facilities to ensure that students get a homely environment while they’re away from their home. Both the boys and girls hostels are available separately. The University has taken proper measures to provide security through security guards who are available on the main gate 24 hours along with a supervisor.

The Indira Gandhi University provides residential facilities to those students whose residence is located within around 60 km from the campus. Also, a merit list will be prepared for admission to the hostel based on the distance from the University and academic score.

The IGU Rewari hostel fees include accommodation, establishment, common rooms, utensils, furniture, medical fee, and other charges.

The total non-refundable fee of the Indira Gandhi University hostels usually range up to Rs. 8,230/-. Also, students are required to deposit an amount for the mess services which include Servant / Cook Charges, Sports & Cultural Activity, etc. The yearly mess fee goes as high as Rs.10,050/-.

For residing at hostels, the University has laid out some rules & regulations for students to maintain a safe living space. Some of the rules are discussed below:

• Students are required to take possession of the hostel within 7 working days post admission.
• Hostellers are not permitted to keep any kind of electrical appliances like heaters. If any such case happens, the University will charge a fine which can go up to Rs. 1,000/-.
• Students might be charged a fine if they are found getting engaged or arranging any celebration or parties, or consuming liquor in the hostel.
• Smoking and usage of drugs is strictly prohibited for hostellers. In any situation of violation of rules, legal actions may be taken.
• Students should not misbehave with hostel workers / fellow residents / hostel staff. This can lead to penalty charges or expulsion from the hostel / University.
• Hostellers are allowed to use the common rooms and other facilities like TV, newspaper, etc. However, they will be held accountable for any damage / loss of hostel property.
• The girl residents are not allowed to entertain any guest / guardian in front of the girls' hostel. In this case, they will have to take permission from the Warden / Supervisor.
• After the main gate of the hostel is closed, hostellers should not remain out of hostel premises. Exceptions will be allowed only if the student obtains permission from parents and Chief Warden.

Hostels at Indira Gandhi University Campus are available for boys and girls students and there are nearly 120 seats in each hostel. The hostel rooms are airy and clean, and are equipped with basic furniture like bed, table, and chair for individuals.

Other facilities available at the IGU Rewari hostels include Wi-Fi services, RO drinking water, common rooms featuring indoor games, TV, and magazines, electricity backup, and many more. For security, the hostels have security guards who are guarding 24x7 along with CCTVs installed in the campus. Furthermore, the University provides a mess facility to provide nutritious food to students regularly. The meal is served 3 times a day which include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. It is served in a clean, and hygienic dining hall.
