It aims to foster inter-disciplinary research and technological innovation. Moreover, it aims of becoming a leading technology institute which graduates high quality individuals. IIIT is a joint venture of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Government of Chhattisgarh. It is a State University approved by AICTE and UGC.
