University of Jammu

University of Jammu has a Placement Cell which is responsible for strengthening and developing the relationship with the recruiters. It conducts on-campus placement drives, mock interviews, written tests, pre-placement talks, personality development programs, group discussions, etc. and organises seminars, workshops, conferences, and guest lectures for enhancing the knowledge and skills of the students. It also provides training which helps the students to learn new skills and upgrade their knowledge as per the industries requirements.

University of Jammu provides different facilities for a holistic development of the students. The facilities include laboratories, Wi-Fi, Gymnasium, Yoga Centre, Parking, Green House, Day Care Centre, Botanical Garden, Guest House, etc. The other facilities are as follows:

• Library: The Dhanvantri Library has an air-conditioned reading room which can accommodate 450+ members. It provides ramps and lift facilities for specially-abled students. The library comprises of Books, Thesis, Journals, Dissertations, Magazines, Newspapers, Manuscripts, Bibliography, Online Resources, etc. It provides INFLIBNET, OPAC, reference services, plagiarism checking tools, reprographic services, etc.
• Auditorium: General Zorawar Singh Auditorium can be divided into a main auditorium which can accommodate 1000+ members and a mini auditorium which can accommodate approximately 500 members. The auditorium complex has an art gallery, TV studio, and miniature gallery in the basement; a museum, photo gallery, cafeteria, conference halls, green room, and a souvenir shop on the ground floor, media centre, FM radio station, seminar room, and exhibition halls on the first floor, art studio for children on the second floor, and reading room-cum-library and conference room on the third floor.
• Canteen: The University has 2 canteens which serve quality and hygienic food to the students at competitive rates. One canteen is housed in the auditorium and the other canteen is near Law block and Science block.
• Hostel: The University has 5 hostels out of which 2 hostels are for girls and 3 hostels are for boys. The hostels are clean, have lush green lawn, ventilated rooms, sports facility, mess, refrigerators, TV, reading rooms, common rooms, guest room, first aid, wardens, and all the necessary amenities.
• Health Centre: The health care centre of the university provides physiotherapy, dental facility, emergency services, OPD facility, ECG facility, medical aids, immunisation camps, ambulance, sanitary facility, etc.
