Adesh University is located in Malwa in the Bathinda district of Punjab and was founded back in 2012. It is a part of the Adesh Foundation which is known for imparting education in medical, health care as well as technical studies. The foundation has been functional since 1995 with the aim of serving society. The university is recognized by the UGC and has many other associations which have approved different courses that are being offered at the university, like, MHRD, MHFW, NMCI, PCI, NCI, INC, PMC, as well as DMER.
The university has plenty of courses under various departments and its constituent institutes. The university has AIMSR, AIPBS, AIDSR, College of Nursing AIMSR, College of Pharmacy AIMSR, College of Physiotherapy AIMSR, and College of Paramedical Sciences AIMSR under its control to provide different medical courses to the students. There are two departments at the university namely, DLIS and DMHA. The university offers MD courses to the students in streams like Pathology, Community Medicine, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Anaesthesia, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Psychiatry, and a few others. And MS courses in streams like Surgery, OBG, ENT, Orthopaedics, and Ophthalmology. Other courses at the university are M.Sc. courses in various streams along with B.Sc. courses. And courses like MBBS, MPH, MDS, BDS, MBA, M.Lib, B.Lib, Pharm.D, MPT, and Ph.D. degrees are also offered at the university. The university even offers different types of diploma courses like PGDHA, Advance diplomas in medical lab technology, radiology & imaging technology, dialysis technology, anaesthesia technology, and many others.
The university is a hub for medical and technical education in the Punjab state and promotes research-based learning for the students. The university aims to provide education via creative and innovative methods of instructions, training, and research techniques to create a holistic learning environment for the students. The university mainly aspires to promote learning amongst the potential academic aspirants of the nearby rural areas. Adesh University grants admission to the students on the basis of either online central counselling or management quota.
The students have to register for online counselling and if they are assigned to Adesh University or its constituent colleges of medical studies then the student has to report to the university for medical exam and enrolment.

Adesh University is spread over an area of over 40 acres of land in a beautiful green and eco-friendly atmosphere. The university is installed with all the required modern pieces of equipment for the students to practice and learn with the help of technology. The academic area of the university has a built-up area of more than 2 lakh sq. m. and the administrative block has a built-up area of around 20k sq. m. The university is located in an area which is still underdeveloped in the backward belt region of Punjab. Other facilities provided at the university are:
