Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies was established in 2012 and is devoted towards study and research of Buddhist-Indic knowledge. It was established with an objective to develop interest in languages, arts, literatures, crafts, and skills amongst students and promote interaction amongst Asian countries for exploration of each other’s culture, philosophy, and religion. SUBIS is a State University approved by UGC.
Vision and Mission: The University aims to become a centre of excellence and lays emphasis on Buddhist-Indic Studies. Moreover, it aims to promote and preserve the values of Dharma-Dhamma and fosters appreciation and understanding of Buddhist-Indic Studies.
