Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand Vishwavidyalaya

Established in the year 2014, Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand Vishwavidyalaya - MCBU Chhatarpur fosters excellence in education and research to benefit the society and humanity at large. UGC approved the university with a “State University” status. MCBU Chhatarpur is also approved by AICTE and is recognised by MHRD and AIU. It is one of the largest universities both in respect of land and student enrolment. In 2021, Govt. Maharaja Post Graduate Autonomous College, Chhatarpur was merged with the university. Currently, over 190 colleges are affiliated with the university.

Vision and Mission: The University’s vision is to disseminate high-quality education that is affordable and reachable to all. It aims to promote research by engaging with the society and contribute to the development of Bundelkhand. It strives hard to inculcate moral values with social responsibility.

The university has 22 Teaching Departments, 3 Faculties, and 21 Research Centers. BA, B.Sc, B.Com, LL.B, LL.M, MA, M.Sc, MBA, M.Com, Ph.D, Diploma, and Certificate courses in different disciplines are run by the university in its own campus and the colleges or institutes affiliated with the university. MCBU Chhatarpur awards Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) under INSPIRE, a flagship program under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The scholarship is available for a few courses, hence students must check the list of courses coming under this scholarship. An age criterion is also applicable. The minimum age to apply for scholarship is 17 years and the maximum age is 22 years.

Students interested in availing the benefits of the scholarship must fulfill one of the eligibility criteria stated below:

• Students who have passed their 12^th class with total marks within top 1% of their Class.
• Students scoring rank within top 10000 ranks in JEE and AIPMT.
• Students selected under Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY).
• National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) scholars, Jagdish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) scholars and International Olympiad medalists are eligible to apply for SHE scholarship.
