The university is famously known as SVVV having the affiliation of UGC and AICTE and NBA approve all the courses offered by the university. The institution offers academic programs in different fields of Computer application, Architecture, Management, Forensic science, Engineering & Technology, Commerce & Law, Journalism & Communication, Humanities & Arts, Fashion Design, Social Sciences, and Agriculture. To take admission in any of the undergraduate course students must pass 10+2 examination with 50% of marks and for postgraduate programs, they must show their graduation degree in the relevant stream from any recognized institution. Students can join the institution by qualifying in any of the relevant national level entrance exams with eligible marks. The selection of the students in some departments is also done through an entrance test and a personal interview. During the academic session, the university demands 75% of minimum attendance to qualify in the semester-end examination.
SVVV library has a collection of 45000 references and textbooks, 135 national and international research journals with 530 back volumes. The library is equipped with an online public access catalog OPAC and also a digital library having around 3000 e-journals. It has the subscription of renowned, agencies and digital libraries such as DELNET or EBSCO to offer students a wide range of online databases.
