Karnataka State Law University was established in 2009 with the objective of providing high quality legal education within Karnataka. It is the largest law university which has 100+ law colleges affiliated with it across Karnataka. It also has a law school in Hubli. KSLU aims to transform the state of legal education in Karnataka by imparting education which is socially relevant and practically competent. Moreover, it strives to promote the legal culture and inculcate human values and high morale within the students. It is a State University approved by UGC, recognised by BCI, and accredited by NAAC with “A” grade.
KSLU provides Under Graduation and Post Graduation courses in LL.B, B.A.LL.B, B.Com.LL.B, BBA.LL.B, and LL.M. Students are granted admission based on the Acceptability Norms of the University which are mentioned in the table below:

KSLU has a Placement Cell which is responsible for assisting and guiding the students with internships and placements. It provides career guidance, spreads awareness regarding the available career opportunities, and conducts mock interviews, pre-placement talks, group sessions, etc. for the students. The Cell also organises workshops, seminars, and conferences for the students. Along with this, the students are provided training which helps them with internships and placements.
KSLU is spread over 55 acres in Navanagar, Hubli and provides infrastructure and facilities to the students. This includes laboratory, auditorium, moot court, sports event, cultural activities, library which is stocked with 17000+ Books, 5500+ Back Volumes, Reference Books, 190+ Dissertations, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Bibliographies, 20+ Magazines, Newspapers, Online Databases, etc. It provides inter-library loan, photocopying services, reference services, etc., separate hostel facilities for girls and boys with facilities such as TV romm, mess, warden, common room, and all the basic facilities.
