The Training and Placement Cell in the university helps its students get their desired jobs. It plays a vital role in training and placement of its university graduates. The Cell provides requisite facilities and guidance for better job opportunities for their students. This include, Personality Development Program, Communication Skill Program, Group Discussion Practice, Competitive Exam Training, Industry-Institute interaction, etc. Apart from necessary facilities, it motivates students to increase their soft skills and technical knowledge to meet the changing market requirements. There is an Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) in the university which is established specifically to organise interaction of students with various industries and institutions to provide ample information on job opportunities for graduates.

KNU students have completed their internship and training in famous companies like, ECL, Tata Hitachi, Smelters, ISCO Burnpur, etc. Some of the leading companies that have visited the campus for placements are Rashmi Metaliks, NZ Terminal, Kiswok Industry, Tata Tinplate, and more.

The main campus of the university is at Churulia which is 31 kilometers away from the city of Asansol. The campus covers 15.6 acres with its infrastructure built on 14598.37 square meters. The University campus is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities to ensure students undertake their academic curriculum without any hindrance. There are four smart classrooms in the university including two in Vidyacharcha Bhavan, one in Administrative Building, and another one in Nirikshan Bhavan. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled and technical support is provided to the university students and the teaching fraternity. Apart from these facilities, few of the other facilities are:

• Canteen: Canteen is considered as primary requirement of students in every institute. KNU canteen is situated in a separate building and at a close proximity to the academic and administrative buildings. A Canteen Committee set up, monitors the quality, hygiene, and services rendered in the canteen.
• Library: The Central Library of the university is housed on the ground floor of the Vidya Charcha Bhavan. The library is well-stocked with the latest collection of both printed and electronic learning resources. It is fully automated by the KOHA software. There are over 22,000 print books in the library. Additionally, it has subscriptions to journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. It has signed an MOU with Inflibnet and is a member of ShodhSindhu, ShodhGanga and ShodhGangotri. Here, readers can access ample e-learning resources.
• Hostel: The hostel accommodation is allotted to students whose residential address is minimum 30 kms from the university. Separate hostel buildings are constructed in the campus to accommodate both boys and girls students. The Hostel Committee manages the hostel activities in the university. All the hostlers have to abide by the rules and regulations set by the committee.
• Sports: There is a big playground adjacent to the campus with facilities for several indoor and outdoor games like cricket, badminton, table tennis, chess, carom, etc. The Annual Sports of the university are organised in this playground.
• Medical Facilities: A separate room equipped with primary medical facilities is present in the campus. A doctor is appointed to look after patients.
• Other Facilities: Laboratories, Seminar Hall, Transportation, etc.
