The SSN College of Engineering courses bear affiliation to Anna University in Chennai; also, they are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) that is based in New Delhi.
The SSNCE courses are devised as per the Anna University curriculum and are revised regularly. Semester-wise, the SSN’s academic programs are held.
Practical education, classroom session, guest lectures, assignment, projects, self-based learning, feedback, and evaluation – all constitute SSNCE’s teaching methodologies. For the convenience of the aspiring candidates, the College facilitates online payments of the SSN College of Engineering fees.
The SSNCE’s B.E./B.Tech programs are full-time ones and have 8 semesters, over a 4-year time span. The M.E/ M.Tech courses are full-time and conducted over 2 years in a series of 4 semesters. The center’s PG programs are residential. As per the Anna University norms, the students’ evaluation process is carried out, entailing both regular and internal assessments.
As part of SSNCE’s undergraduate programs, the aspirants can avail courses in the fields of engineering, with specializations in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Bio-Medical Engineering.
The center’s postgraduate courses are in the disciplines of Computer Science & Engineering, Applied Electronics, Communication Systems, Power Electronics & Drives, VLSI Design, Information Technology, Energy Engineering, Software Engineering, Medical Electronics, Environmental Science & Technology, and Manufacturing Engineering.
B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
The B.E. Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) program is one of SSNCE’s most popular undergraduate programs. The College’s EEE department is operating since the year 1996 and proposes courses through eminent faculty members. With emphasis on project work, supported by world-class infrastructure, the center’s EEE department fosters the students’ creative talents.
B.Tech in Information Technology
There is rising demand for IT professionals, thus several aspirants opt to major in the IT discipline for brightening their career prospects. Moreover, India has become a favored destination for the IT sector owing to a large resource base of IT professionals herein. At SSNCE, the B.Tech in Information Technology program makes use of the latest technologies, emphasizes on project work, and covers an array of IT domains.
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
As one of Engineering’s core fields, Mechanical Engineering (ME) covers streams such as Production, Design, and Thermal. In fact, there is huge scope for Research, Employment, and Development in ME’s areas such as in fabrication, design, air conditioning, engine technology, production, and automotive.
The SSNCE’s ME department works towards the pupils’ holistic development to strengthen the foundation for conducting research and using technology, in ME’s streams.
M.E. in Software Engineering
During the academic year 2011-2012, the SSNCE started the postgraduate course in software engineering that the Department of Computer Science & Engineering conducts. As part of this course’s curriculum, at SSNCE, the pupils are offered projects in several broad areas, complemented by world-class laboratories for practical education.
M.E. in Manufacturing Engineering
The SSNCE’s Department of Mechanical Engineering started conducting the Manufacturing Engineering postgraduate course from the academic year of 2012-13 onwards. This course curriculum includes core manufacturing subjects, and electives. Also, the students have to work on 2 projects; the final semester focuses on the projects’ final phases.
