Manav Rachna University is one of the leading universities which came into existence in the year 2004. The university is known by its engineering college as it has won many bounties for it. Manav Rachna University Faridabad is a niche name when it comes to universities of NCR. Including UG & PG level, the university offers over 30 programs. UGC has approved the university and all the colleges under the university also has the necessary approvals. The formation of the university was based on the principals of creating a learning environment inside the university so that students don’t think it’s hard to study or work as they should do everything joyfully. The best part of the university is that fees are quite reasonable here and students are also offered various scholarships so that this part becomes secondary. All the candidates who want to pursue education from MRU Faridabad has to go through entrance test as for most courses the university has made sure that admissions are purely based on entrance scores. As per the NIRF rankings released in 2020, MRU was comfortably placed among the top 200 universities in India. The rankings are based on university’s academics, infrastructure and placements.
Talking about the placements, they are pretty good at the university. HSC Marks: Students who have cleared their 12th exam with certain CGPA or percentage from any recognised boards are qualified for many Manav Rachna University courses. As some of the courses offer admissions directly on the basis of 12th marks. Graduation Marks: For PG courses, students should have passed graduation in the relevant stream for direct admissions at Manav Rachna University. For most PG courses of the university having a graduation degree is enough as that is the only criteria that the university has.
Entrance Exams: For decorated courses such as engineering courses and MBA courses, students have to clear state or national level entrances. MRU has a certain cut-off and students at par with that cut-off can apply at the university. Apart from entrance score, clearing GD & PI round is must for students who wants to pursue MBA or PGDM programs.

The portal itself has all the necessary questions so that if you are not eligible, the form will not proceed further. Merit Cum Means Scholarships
Firstly, this scholarship is applicable to students of Haryana. All the students whose household income is less than 2.8 LPA becomes eligible for this scholarship. However, there are some certain criteria as all the students under this scholarship program has to maintain over 70% attendance and 7 CGPA in each semester. A failure in any of these two means discontinuations of scholarship.

Manav Rachna University believes in employability enhancement and therefore the training and placement cell of the university makes sure that students go under a litmus test that prepares them the best when it comes to placements. The common drills such as mocks tests, and interviews among other are of course there but apart from there, students are taken to various seminars and many seminars happens at the university itself. Many corporate giants and start-up kings are called to share their stories so that it inspires students to excel in whatever they want to pursue. Students are made to learn about their own capabilities so that they can themselves improve on the areas in which they should. The placement cell provides every bit of assistance as those who registers themselves for the training are given full support.
Now to help the university students with the best set of placements the university has made some major tie-ups with corporate giants like Lido Learning, TCS, Indigo, Nokia, Accenture, HSBC, Zomato, Luminous, Yamaha, and Federal Bank among others. Talking about 2020-21 placement drive, over 600 students were placed through campus placement drive. Through Incubation centre of the university around 80 students received funding for their ideas. The highest package offered was of 32 LPA for the same period.
The facilities are ample here but some definitely stands out than the others and they are:
Hostels –There are two boys hostels called CBH 1 and CBH 2. The capacity of both the hostels are 208 and 238 respectively. For girls there’s a CGH hostel with a capacity of accommodating 260 students and a building of studio apartment that has 28 student capacity in it. Talking about the Hostel facilities, it has a robust power back-up system and a Wi-Fi system that works seamless 24*7. The hostel also has a hygienic & well-managed mess where both the needs that is of students taste needs and nutritional needs are duly taken care of. Pure RO drinking water facility is also provided at the hostel. For recreation means both outdoor and indoor sports facilities are provided. There is a departmental store for all the hostellers needs. Many happening food joints, a TV room and various other things are made available for the students. Last but not the least, 24*7 a robust security arrangement makes sure that students can enjoy a pleasant stay at the campus.
Cafeterias – For hangout purposes at the campus students don’t have to look beyond the food joints of the campus. There are as many as 7 café’s at the university and all different from one another. There’s a subway outlet at the campus which is relatively small but still is capable of seating around 20-25 people at one point in time. To enjoy a large variety of fast food, the university has a state-of-the-art café in Hush: The Art of Slowing Down. Tea is the best unwind thing for kids these days and therefore a tea joint in Chai Garam – The Pocket Café serves that purpose. So, are you ready to roll? Then Tibb’s Frankie is the one for you. HM Café is a café that is operated by the HM students is one area where one will find many freshly brewed stuffs made by the HM students. An outdoor café in #MYM is one of the most favoured food joints at the campus by the students. For coffee lovers and the one who craves for cakes, there’s a Nescafe joint.
Sports – Sports and the university goes hand in hand as they have an unparallel sports academy at the campus that has helped many students to raise their game. It’s not that pros get special training or treatment at the campus, even the new comers enjoy the same rights and freedom to play as the pro students. From shooting, badminton, lawn tennis, swimming, cricket, football, and skating, the university’s sporting academy has all the sports facilities in their kitty.
