The university has a well established and functional Career Counselling and Placement Cell (CCPC) that fulfills the placement demands and requirement of the students. It maintains healthy and professional links with the private and government recruiting companies and invites them for on-campus placements. CCPC works on IT related tools to enhance the experience of the students by updating them regularly about the upcoming job opportunity. It also organises regular seminars, workshops, conferences, expert lectures, exhibitions, etc. to help the students interact with the industry experts and develop contacts. Moreover, proper career counselling is provided to the students so that they can select the right career path without any doubt and achieve their dream job.

The cell guides and trains the students from the starting of the academic year and develops skills that recruiters look for like communicational skills, technical skills, professional skills, and soft skills. Pre-placement talk sessions are also organised by the cell in which mock interview, aptitude test, resume building exercises, and group discussions take place. The cell monitors the growth of students on a regular basis and maintains a database to share it with the employers. It also stays digitally connected with the final year students and the companies to provide all kinds of updates and information on a regular basis.

Located at Delhi Road, University Secretariat, the campus of MDU is spread over 622 acres and is 75 kms away from the capital Delhi and 240 kms away from the state capital Chandigarh. To provide a healthy and positive environment to the students, the university has established a range of cells that listens to the problems of the students and helps them in solving it. Some of these cells are Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell, Grievances Redressal Cell, SC & ST Cell, etc. The infrastructure of the university is world-class with modern amenities and facilities that fulfill all the needs and requirements of the students. It has well furnished smart classrooms, well constructed conference halls, community centres, spacious Radha Krishan auditorium, video conferencing hall, Tagore auditorium, along with many other services and amenities like:

• Laboratories: To fulfill the practical needs of the students in various departments, the university has established laboratories. The labs of the university are well furnished and modern, and help the students undertake practical learning. 
• Computer Lab: The University has computer lab with IT infrastructure and services to facilitate practical and digital learning among the students.
• Library: MDU provides a well stocked and modern library facility to the students, known as Vivekananda Library. This library is built on an area of 110000 sq. ft. and is vary spacious as it can accommodate 2400+ readers. Apart from this, the library has air conditioned reading room which can facilitate up to 1600+ students at a time. The library has both printed and digital facilities with more than 390000+ books, 57000+ e-books, 250+ Indian journals & 50+ foreign journals, 11000+ e-journals, 58000+ bound journals, 1000+ CDs & DVDs, 17000+ theses, newspapers, national & international magazines, and other online databases. To access the digital services, internet connection with 25+ computer systems are also available in the library.
• Hostels: To provide accommodation facilities to the students coming from other cities and states, the university has 20 well furnished, modern, and well maintained separate hostels for boys and girls. 10 hostels are specifically for girls and the other 10 are for boys. The rooms of the hostels are spacious, furnished, modern, and clean. To provide a healthy and safe hostel environment to the students and to maintain the discipline and decorum inside the hostel, wardens, supervisors, and security guards are present in the campus round-the-clock. For the entertainment and fun of the hostellers, the campus has a common room, various games facilities, and a reading area. Mess services are also provided to the students that serves variety of delicious and healthy food to the students. The food is being cooked in a hygienic kitchen by expert cooks.
• Cafeteria: Students of MDU are facilitated with excellent cafeteria which serves a great menu at affordable prices. Students can relax and socialise here with their fellow batch mates as the seating area of the cafeteria is spacious and it has a great environment. The cafeteria serves delicious food to the students that are cooked in a hygienic kitchen.
• Sports: To facilitate the students with sports and physical activities, the university has established a great sports infrastructure. A Directorate of Sports is also present in the campus to look after the sports need and requirements of the students. It has sports and games for both male and female students, and expert and experienced coaches are also present in the campus to train the students. The university has both indoor and outdoor game facilities like a Lawn Tennis court, Basketball court, Judo hall, Wrestling hall, Boxing hall, Squash hall, Astroturf Hockey ground, Kabaddi hall, Athletics Track, etc. The university’s Directorate of Sports organises a range of tournaments, sports meets, and events for both girls and boys students and it also motivates them to take part in the same.
