Maharishi Markandeshwar College of Nursing (MMCN) began its journey in the year 2004 by introducing the B.Sc. (Nursing) program. MMCN was founded with the overarching aim of nurturing students to serve as nurses and midwives in the healthcare sector. Over the years, MMCN has burgeoned into a large educational institution, offering postgraduate programs in nursing, besides the B.Sc course.
The college presently enrolls students for M.Sc. (nursing) and Ph.D (nursing), apart from registering candidates for the B.Sc (nursing) program. The institution started providing M.Sc program in five distinct specialties for the first time in Haryana. The specialties are obstetrical and gynecological nursing, medical-surgical nursing, community health nursing, mental health nursing, and child health nursing.
MMCN introduced the Ph.D (nursing) program from the academic year 2011-12. Once the nursing college established the departments of medical-surgical, child health, mental health, community health, obstetrical and gynecological nursing, it initiated the M.Sc (nursing) course in 2008. The Maharishi Markandeshwar School of Nursing incorporated in 2004, exclusively offers a diploma program in nursing - Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
The nursing institution’s vision is to deliver a technology driven and integrated education so that students can have a fulfilling career by serving the society. And the institute’s mission is to create highly effective nursing professionals who can cater to the healthcare needs of all.
