The foundation stone of Birla Institute of Technology was laid in 1955 in Ranchi and was awarded “Deemed to be University” status by the UGC in 1986. It is approved and accredited by the AICTE and PCI respectively.

Application Process:
All the candidates qualifying the above-mentioned admission criteria are advised to apply for the interested courses through the institute’s website. They can register online and follow the procedure as instructed. They also have to report to the “Admission Section” of BIT Mesra for the physical verification of the documents. After the verification, they can proceed forward for the payment of fees and hostel allotment.
