Bachelor in Business Administration: MIT-SOM College offers a 3 year ”Bachelor in Business Administration” program in which all the students learn various aspects of management and get trained in management, communication and entrepreneurship skills. The highly qualified faculty with years of industry experience has designed the curriculum in such a way that student not just learn in theory but also gain practical knowledge which will help them in dominating the highly competitive business environment.
A candidate applying for this program must clear their 10+2 examination in English as passing subject and should secure at least 40% marks. After finishing two years, in the third year, a student can choose a specialization subject from Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, Service Sector Management and Agri-business management etc.
During this program, the students get an opportunity to do industry visits which is compulsory for everyone. These visits help students to understand and learn the practical side of the business which cannot be taught in lectures. They get a better understanding of how the things actually work on ground level. After each industry visit the students need to submit a report about their visit & learning.
After successfully completion of this program, he or she can start working in various industry sectors like Banking, Insurance, Finance, Market Research, FMCG, IT, Advertising etc.
Bachelor in Business Administration (Computer Applications):
Also known as BCA (Bachelor in Computer Application), this is a 3 year full time program in computer administration. The entire course is designed to develop industry ready professionals in the area of computer applications which is seeing a fast growth and increasing need for quality manpower. During the program, various challenges and solutions are given to students by which they are exposed to latest developments in the area of computer application. The faculty uses various teaching methods like Tutorial & Assignments, Projects, and Guest Lectures etc. which make them ready to face constantly changing and challenging industry. The students are given projects where they have to apply the various principles in computer application to solve critical problems.
In order to be eligible for this program, all the students need to score minimum 40% marks in their HSC examination with English as a passing subject.
After successfully completion of this course from MIT-SOM, the chances of getting placed in top corporate are very high for the students in times like Technical Specialist, Software Analyst, 3D Animation / Graphic Designer, Software Engineering, Networking Analyst, Programmer / Software Developer, System Analyst, Software Tester, Security Expert, Web Master / Web Designer etc.
Bachelor in Business Administration (International Business): MIT-SOM also conducts a 3 year full time Bachelor in Business Administration (International Business) program designed for all the aspirants who wants to make their mark in international markets with import export houses, freight forwarders and C & F agents.
The basic eligibility criterion is that a candidate should pass their HSC examination with minimum 40% marks with English as a compulsory subject. During the program, there will several industry visits with which students gets a chance to interact with experienced professionals in the industries they want to join in the future. They get a chance to see how things work practically in corporate which will help them to increase their industry understanding and also decide which industry is best suited for them.
After successfully completion of this program, the candidates can start their career as trainee/executives in FMCG, Import-Exports and logistics firms.
