BDS is a five-year course in which students are given knowledge about dental problems, dentures, and surgery. This is a job-oriented program that offers opportunities in pharmaceutical, hospital and manufacturing industries related to medical devices.
For admission in this course, the candidate must have cleared Chemistry, Physics, English, and Biology individually. State Government and Government of India approve this course. Minimum 50% marks are required in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology all together in 10+2 or equivalent.
MDS is a three-year course that imparts advanced knowledge in the field of dentistry. Students learn about the anatomy, development and teeth diseases. The specializations offered are Oral Medicine and Radiology, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Pedodontics, Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Public Health Dentistry and Prosthodontics.
This postgraduate program develops research skills, critical analysis, and clinical skills that improve the performance of students in dentistry.
