The Kalinga University Raipur was incepted in the year 2013. The university is located in Naya Raipur in Chhattisgarh. Kalinga University is one of the best private universities of the state that focuses more on students’ development. The University is approved by the top body UGC. The only way to get Kalinga University admissions are through KALSEE (Kalinga Scholastic Entrance Examination). The dates and all of the entrance exams can be checked on their website as they have test centres all across the country. The Kalinga University application form can be submitted with a fee INR 1000 for any course of the university.
One has to attach all the documents along with attested photo copies. Like for UG programs, Class 10th, 12th mark sheet. Besides that, TC or migration certificate also has to be attached. For PG programs, Marksheets of 10th, 12th, along with certificate of graduation and TC or migration certificate. The mode of exam is online and all MCQs. A 90-minute test for all UG programs of the university and a test of 120 minutes for PhD programs of the university is what every student has to go through. 50% is the cut-off and if you have made the cut-off list, you will be called for an interview and guided everything about the Kalinga University course that you have chosen. So, once the fees are paid, you will be free to attend the classes for your respective course as and when your sessions start.

Social Scholarships
1. Straight 50 % Waiver in tuition fee to the kids or wards of Martyred Personnel of Indian Armed forces, Indian Navy, Paramilitary forces, Police, or the Indian Air Force.
2. For the kids or wards of the retied armed forces, a 20% Scholarship on tuition fee is awarded
3. Physically Handicapped students gets 20% Scholarship on their course tuition fee.
4. Every girl’s enrolling in the university gets a 30% Scholarship on their respective tuition fee.
5. A fee waiver of 20% on tuition fee for the kids of Hospital and Healthcare sector frontline workers.
6. Complete Fee waiver on tuition fee for the kids of national award winners like Padmashree awards, and Bharat Ratna award.
7. 50% fee waiver on tuition fee for the students coming to the university from North Eastern States.
Merit Based Scholarships
Apart from this the students who tops in any government recognized board exams get 50% scholarships.

Kalinga University placement percentage of 83 has been made possible only because of the efforts put in by the T&P Department of the university. The department helps students in guiding on how they should approach the placements. The department also provides all the assistance that students seek to make sure for the students achieve all their career goals. The Department is well aware of the industry demands and therefore prepare the students exactly the way, the industry needs. So along with regular academics, classes for soft skills and other kind of workshops are organized.
Group discussions and Aptitude tests are organized by the cell regularly so that it enables the students in improving their skillset and performance when they appear for competitive exams. Along with regular program many job-oriented certificate courses and some form of workshops and special training activities are regularly held at the university. The University arranges many guest lectures from the industry experts and celebrity world who could come and encourage the students in exceling whatever they are pursuing. As per their website data the top placements of 2018-19 batch was of 10 lakhs that was awarded to a management student. Over 120 recruiters have visited the campus in their placement drive and some of the top recruiters NTPC, Ultratech Cement, BYJU’s, Jindal Steel & Power, TOI, LG, Just Dial, Max Cure Hospitals, Airtel, Infosys Amul, and others.
Kalinga University facilities are never ending as one can have it all inside the campus. There are hostels, café’s, reading rooms, bank & ATMs, high tight security, to gymnasium, the university has it all. Some of the facilities that needs special mention are:
Hostels: The university has a magnificent boy’s hostel and girl’s hostel. The hostel rooms have various variants from single seater rooms to double seater rooms. One can choose between the AC and Non-Ac rooms too. All the rooms have washrooms inside other than some dorms. The hostel mess is clean and healthy food is served to the students. The hostels also have a separate reading hall too.
Cafeterias: The university has as many as 7 cafeterias inside the campus and all of them have ample seats so that students don’t have to wait in the queue. From snacks to meals, the café’s serves all purposes and cravings of the students and staffs. The food is provided at reasonable rates to the students.
Sports: Sports facilities of the university are further divided into four as the university has indoor sporting centre, outdoor facilities, a yoga club, and a gymnasium.
Indoor Sporting facilities: From ping-pong tables, to chess to carrom, the indoor sports arena has everything. For students who love playing pool, the university has a two pool tables too. Besides all the amenities, there’s a hangout zone too inside the indoor sports area.
Outdoor Sporting facilities: As many as 11 courts or grounds are there at the campus outdoor sporting facilities. There are two basketball courts, one volleyball court, one lawn tennis court, one badminton court, one kabaddi ground, one Kho-Kho ground, one handball ground, one football ground, one cricket ground, one cricket ground, one hockey ground, and alas, an athletic track of 400 mts.
