UEM Kolkata Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

To be honest, I chose UEMK because I couldn't get into IEM Salt Lake, which is the main campus of our university. My JEE result was also not up to the mark, so I couldn't opt for government colleges. Also, I didn't want to go too far in the South or North. If you are also looking for a college suited for studies and a decent environment for your next 4 years in Kolkata then I suggest you can definitely think of my college. People who are living in West Bengal usually don't want to leave their home state and have the desire to complete their studies from Kolkata or any other place in state itself. When I took admission in this college in 2021, the placement rate of this college was very good. More than 250 students were placed during the COVID period with an average of 2 job offers per student. So I took admission in the college. When I initially visited this institute it looked great. I had done my schooling from a basic local high school so I was really charmed by the size of this college. This college is strictly for students who are disciplined. This college teaches you as school teach students. You have to be in the college on time and attend all lectures and you cannot go out of the college before all classes ends. University of Engineering and Management is a self affiliated college which provides both under graduate and post graduate courses to students on Engineering and Management. I am currently an MCA student at UEM. I got admission to UEM via an entrance exam named JECA. I chose MCA because I had deep interest in coding since my high school. UEM is very strict with discipline. Bunking of classes is not at all entertained in UEM unlike other colleges. The college also requires 75% attendance of students. If a student has attendance less than the mentioned percentage, the college debars the student from appearing in the semester examination.Read Full Review
