The UEM Kolkata - University of Engineering and Management Kolkata was established in 2014 under the aegis of the IEM Trust i.e., Institute of Engineering & Management Trust. It earlier started operations as IEM-UEM Group in 1989. The State Private University is approved by UGC & AICTE. It is recognised by BCI and AIU.

Admission Process

Interested and eligible candidates can fill in the Application Form of the University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata through online or offline mode. Then, they are required to appear for the IEMJEE (conducted by the University), depending on the programs. Students will be shortlisted for admission on the basis of their merit marks in the previous academic qualifications and IEMJEE.

For admission in MBA and MCA courses, candidates have to qualify the Group Discussion & Personal interview rounds post Admission Test.

The University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata offers different scholarship schemes to the students in order to support their special achievements and academic potential. The scholarship schemes offered are mentioned below:

Academic Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to the Top 3 students of the B.Tech program in Biotech, ECE, CSE (IOT), CSE (Networks) each. Additionally, 3% students from the CSE and Allied disciplines are awarded this scholarship. Under this, 25% Tuition Fee will be waived off in each semester exam for such students.

Merit-Based Scholarship

100% scholarship will be awarded in the form of Tuition Fee Waiver for 4-years for the students who have scored 96 – 100% marks in 10^th and 12^th standard. Similarly, 50% Tuition Fee will be waived off for those who have obtained 91 – 95.99% marks.

Defence / Army Scholarship

This scholarship is granted to the students who belong to the Army / Defence background. Such candidates who have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate in their 10^th and 12^th class can avail 50% scholarship for the whole course duration as a Tuition Fee Waiver.

School Toppers

Students who have topped the 12^th class board exam will be awarded 100% scholarship on their tuition fee for the full academic period.
