UEM Kolkata Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

Our college also has hostel facilities and I am living in one. There are other hostels also, but they are scattered at other places, mine is also not in the main campus. My room is total white (I really like it), and attached bathroom and toilet is provided. The room has not that much space but it's enough. Although I would prefer it to be a little bigger just so that I could be able to keep a bigger table and chair in here. The food, rooms, and people are good. So, overall it's a great experience. When I was in my first year or when I first moved in the hostel, I thought that it would be a very bad experience living in here, but eventually I didn't even realize how a year has passed living here.Read Full Review

Yes hostel is available for UEM but it is not inside the institute, it is actually about 1.8 km away from the college. Hostel is bad in my opinion as college charges about 102000 in the whole year which includes accommodation and food charges. The rooms in the hostel in really small there are 2 types of rooms available 2 person and 3 person rooms. There is barely any walking space in the rooms so students have to sit in the bed. There is an attached bathroom in every room. Food quality is very bad as they use too much oil and minimal amount of salt in the food. We have a fixed routine for the food and students feel monotonous by eating the same food every week. Occasionally. The college also has hostel facilities for both Girls and Boys students. The hostel provides 4 times meal and 3 share bedroom to students. The hostel also provides free Wi-Fi facilities to students. Infrastructure of hostel is okay, not that great. The hostel also has certain restrictions on students. The hostel also celebrates different festivals like Holi, Saraswati Puja, etc.Read Full Review
