The Department of Computer Science and Technology under the ‘Faculty of Engineering and Technology’ offers this 4-year B. Tech program. The computer science and technology department also enrolls students for other B. Tech programs with specializations in electrical and electronics engineering, computer science and engineering, aeronautical engineering, and so on. All the courses, including the B. Tech (information security and digital forensics) focus on readying the candidates for an array of IT professions.
Students acquire the ability to put into practice their knowledge of engineering and management, computer science, computing, and mathematics. Once the students complete this undergraduate program, they develop the competency to design, assess, and execute computing solutions, taking into due consideration ethical, social, ecological, and economic aspects. After earning a B.Tech degree, the students can look forward to a fulfilling career in the engineering and computer science industry. They can also pursue higher studies in the areas of computer science and technology, engineering, and management or carry out research.
The basic eligibility criterion is clearing the 10+2 exam of a recognized state or central education board in science stream. Two of the compulsory subjects should be chemistry and physics with biology or mathematics as an optional subject. However, final admission will depend on the percentage of marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by MGRERIC.
The Department of Mathematics under the tutelage of the Faculty of Humanities & Sciences enlists students for multiple programs in mathematics, including B.Sc. (mathematics). The B.Sc. (mathematics) program is a fulltime on-campus course having an academic period of 3 years. The syllabus of the course equips students with comprehensive knowledge of mathematical concepts and postulates.
Students imbibe the competence to elucidate time, space, structure, and quantity from a mathematical perspective. The pupils gather in-depth knowledge of mathematical topics and subjects like calculus, differential equations, probability & statistics, analytical solid geometry, mechanics, linear algebra, abstract algebra, numerical analysis, and so on.
To qualify for this undergraduate program in mathematics, students need to pass the higher secondary exam (pure science) from an approved education board. Additionally, the student must have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate in the final qualifying examination. The student also has to clear the entrance exam conducted by MGRERIC.
The Faculty of Architecture offers the 5-year undergraduate program in architecture approved by Council of Architecture (COA). The undergraduate architecture course aims to instill in students thorough knowledge about architectural design, enabling them to create durable structures that are in perfect harmony with the immediate environment. Students learn to design structures and edifices that are fully functional as well as aesthetically appealing and are eco-friendly.
The pupils delve into the needs of the built environment, and thus respond to the demands of the society with respect to built environment. All students who have passed their STD XII examination in the science or commerce stream with mathematics as a subject can apply. The candidates will also be required to qualify in the NATA examination.
Aspiring students can also log in at the COA website for knowing the eligibility terms and conditions in detail.
