Meerut Institute of Technology Meerut was established in 2007, through a trust named as “Vishnu Education Foundation”. This institute is a part of MIT Group of Institutions. It has been approved by AICTE, and is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The institute has been accredited by NAAC.

Vision: Vision behind the establishment of this institute was to introduce a technical institution through which education related to latest technology is provided, to strengthen the personality of the students and enhance their professional skills.

Mission: The institute aims at the promotion of research and innovation in the technical field, so that education about the latest trends and developments in the field of technology can be provided, which would be helpful in solving societal issues.

Admissions into Meerut Institute of Technology are done on the basis of state counselling or through direct admission procedure. Admissions are provided on the basis of seats reserved as per the state government rules. Candidates who want to take admission into the UG programs, provided by the institute, have to fulfill the eligibility requirement.

*Candidates who have appeared for the 10+2 exam and are waiting for results can also apply. Admission will only be confirmed to the students once they qualify the exam.

Admission Process:

Candidates can apply for admissions by registering themselves through the official portal of the institute. They are required to fill up the registration form and select their choice of course.

A merit list is prepared by the institute on the basis of marks obtained by the students in qualifying exams, and the students who qualify as per the merit list are provided admission into the institute post completion of counselling process.

• Original Character Certificate
• Original Transfer Certificate (only for U.P. Board Students)
• Original Migration Certificate, (for CBSE /ICSE / Other than U.P. Board)
• Attested copy of Domicile Certificate (for candidates other than U.P. state)
• Attested copy of Caste / Category Certificate (for OBC/SC/ST and Minority only) 
• Income certificate from tensile with verification on the website.
• Income Certificate from employer. In case parents are farmer copy of agriculture land Khasra/ Khatauni

Students, who pursue their higher studies from Meerut Institute of Technology, can avail the benefit of Scholarships provided by the state government. The institute encourages such scholarships, so that students belonging from economically weaker sections, and minority cartegories, can continue their higher education. Financial assistance is provided to the students under:
