Sagar Institute of Science, Technology, and Engineering offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Engineering.
Bachelor of Engineering is a four-year course that imparts technical knowledge depending upon the specializations. Candidates of Madhya Pradesh who are willing to take admission must have completed 10+2 examination from any recognized board with Chemistry, Physics as the compulsory subjects and Biology, Mathematics, Biotechnology as optional subjects. Minimum marks of 45% are required for the General category and in the case of SC/ST required marks are 40%. The marks criteria for general and SC/ST candidates of other states are 45%.
Direct admissions are based on the marks obtained in Intermediate results. Candidates of General category must possess 50% marks and SC/ST candidates must have 45% marks. Academia offers B.Tech program with a specialization in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.
In this branch of engineering, students study about the electronics, electricity and electromagnetism applications. They learn about designing of electric equipment and circuits. This branch provides the opportunity to work in power plants and hardware companies whose work process includes design, manufacture, and operation of industrial machinery, automobiles, engines, computer chips, etc.
Computer Science Engineering focuses on computer programming basics, networking, languages, software, program design, hardware, etc. Students learn about various computing aspects, from designing personal computers, microprocessors, and computers to writing software programs that make them worth to use.
In Electronics and Communication Engineering, students learn about the design and application of electronic components and circuits. They learn to design electronic circuits and learn to develop control systems. The sub-disciplines of this branch include control systems, signal processing, microelectronics, etc.
Mechanical engineering is a branch that deals with the construction, design, and usage of machines. The program includes fundamental knowledge of machines and tools. Students learn about the design of electric motors, automobiles and heavy vehicles.
Civil Engineering is the broad engineering discipline that gives knowledge about designing, construction, maintenance and supervision of infrastructures. Students learn about planning and implementing infrastructural projects.
Master of technology is a two-year course that offers advanced knowledge about the subject. Students are required to work on projects in order to grab practical skills. The various specializations offered are Computer Science and Engineering, Construction Technology and Management and Power Systems.
