Maharishi Markandeshwar University was established in 1993 under the aegis of Maharishi Markandeshwar Trust. The MMU Mullana Ambala got the status of Deemed to be University in 2007. The University is approved by AICTE & UGC and certified by ISO.
The University is recognised by DCI, BCI, PCI, INC, MCI, ICAR, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), International Association of Universities (IAU), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Indian Association of Physiotherapy (IAP), and MHRD (ICC) Innovation Cell.
