Oakbrook Business School Gandhinagar Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The lush green campus with so many trees and plants were so pleasing to the eyes. The college may not be that huge but is new and is built by inspiring from various other B-Schools as what all facilities should be present at a B-School. Thus, we had all such facilities that a B-School should have like a volume library, common rooms, seminar halls, modern classrooms, and equipped labs. All the facilities that the institute had were used and there was no facility that was untouched. Now just imagine a Gujarati doing business. Many people say that we have this and that but in actual it depends on how many of those you actually use. The basketball court, the lawn and everything about the college was so mesmerizing that I still find some time out to go and visit my college as many of my colleagues in the bank are from the same college.

All my patience was put to test as I never imagined that I won’t even have time to call my parents daily. Look MBA is demanding, and the college has left no stone unturned to make the course in a way that makes you work like a workhorse. The institute knows how demanding the outside world is and it is their responsibility to train the students from campus itself. The survival of the fittest has made it clear that if you are not groomed at the college level, you can’t survive in the corporate world. A beautiful campus and may be not as large as my previous LJ College of Commerce campus but were far better for sure. The classes were unimaginable for me because I never thought that I will study through projectors and LED’s. Apart from that there was an auditorium where many imminent personalities came and shared their version of success. Most of us do use to yawn during those sessions but college still called them. Other than that, what to say as I believe its common everywhere, a library, a canteen, a basketball court and some indoor sporting facilities. The college was built intelligently as having a large campus and large buildings don’t help anyone’s case be it student or management. In this regard one should learn from OBS as how well they have utilised the resources.

The important thing that I learned at the campus was how to adjust in a fast-paced city or workplace. I am working today and can say the amount of pressure that we had then was more than what I have today. The college has groomed all of us so well that we know how to present ourselves. The campus life passed by so quickly as I even used to avoid going home on Sundays and my parents used to drive and come to meet me. The total area of the OBS campus is 2 acres. The infra of the college is well equipped with all the modern interiors that braces learning, professional, and overall development of the students. The classrooms have LED Screens and overhead projectors that made classroom look interesting. The computer lab was huge and has around 100 PCs. The college enjoys Wi-Fi connectivity in all corners of the college. OBS library has a broad base collection of journals, magazines, and books. The library has books not just of Indian authors but foreign authors as well. The college campus also has a sports club and not just outdoor sports but the college has in-door sports facilities like Carom, Chess, and Table-Tennis.

The group study that we did at the campus is unforgettable. The college has enhanced the program where students have to work in tandem. This made me realize the value of team work as no corporate is run by single person. The college gave us so many memories and hosted events on almost all the occasions from Republic Day to cultural events. The student’s skill set of other than studies was at display. The only thing where college should try and improve as better the gender ratio as in a batch of 300 students there were only 20 girls if I am not wrong.Read Full Review
