New Horizon College in Kasturi Nagar has well-ventilated and spacious class rooms. The college campus also houses well-equipped electronics laboratory, business laboratory, and lecture rooms. Every classroom comes endowed with the state-of-the-art teaching and learning aids like plug-and-play projectors, speaker enhancements, laptops, and so on.
All these classroom facilities go a long way in delivering valuable knowledge to the learners. ICT-equipped classrooms also go a long way in making the teaching and learning methodology more inclusive and engaging. Thanks to the employment of ICT tools, classroom learning goes beyond chalk, blackboard and textbooks. Students also learn via documentary, relevant videos, presentations, films, web-based study materials that become essential components of the daily learning process.
NHCK’s library is a veritable treasure trove of knowledge. The chief objective of the college library is to furnish relevant information to the appropriate end-user at the right place and at the right time. The library stocks more than 15,225 textbooks, and by becoming an Institutional member one can access e-books and e-journals.
One can also access the online resources under the aegis of the project named ‘National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for academic content (N-LIST).
The library consists of two levels and can seat more than 150 persons. The library has a separate digital section, reading room with a stationery shop located on the ground floor. The Utility Center is one of the most sought after areas of the college that experiences a heavy footfall almost every day.
The Utility Center caters to a student’s specific and personal learning and academic requirements. At the same time, the unit meets the didactic needs of the administrative and teaching staff of the college. The campus houses an al-fresco auditorium that serves as the venue for hosting several events and occasions round the year.
There is a basketball court in the open-air auditorium and spaces for indoor games are located inside the enclosed auditorium. The college restaurant is thoroughly clean and hygienic and serves an assortment of North and South Indian and Chinese cuisines.
