The BBA (Oil & Gas Marketing) program is a fulltime, on-campus course with a three year study period. This BBA program enables students to pick up the basics of the myriad aspects of the entire hydrocarbon value chain. To put it more specifically, students gain thorough knowledge of the typical sequential course of work activities starting from new ventures to exploration to evaluation to development to production to sales.
The learners gain effective administrative and managerial skills that stand them in good stead in the vast energy sector with its associated concomitants. The three-year study period is segregated into six semesters where students study a set of compulsory and elective papers in each semester. Some of the subjects covered under the BBA (oil & gas marketing) include business economics, business mathematics, business computing, business communication, oil/gas storage and transportation.
Once students complete the program, they imbibe the knowledge and develop the skills for launching a career in brand management, loyalty program management, and petro retailing management. BBA (oil & gas marketing) students can also apply for an entry-level position in the streams of city gas marketing, lube oil sales & marketing, and operations management.
In order to apply to this undergraduate course, students need to clear the higher secondary exam of a recognized board. At the same time the students have to secure at least 50% marks in aggregate in the final qualifying examination.
The syllabus of the B.A (Honors) Energy Economics course, an undergraduate program is divided into six semesters. So, the stipulated time period for completing the course is three years spread across six semesters, where every semester has six-month duration. The curriculum of this undergraduate course in energy economics equips students with the skills necessary for alleviating the energy crisis that will adversely affect the entire world sooner or later.
During the course of the study period, students receive thorough training in suitable IT tools and techniques including software apps relevant to econometrics modeling like E-views, SPSS, and STATA. Some of the subjects included in the course curriculum comprise microeconomics, macroeconomics, corporate social responsibility, environmental studies, and basics of energy economics. After completing the program, a student can launch his or her career as an actuarial analyst, economist, data analyst, financial risk analyst or research analyst.
Candidates can also choose to work as a forensic accountant, investment analyst, statistician, and stockbroker or management consultant. Students also have the option of pursuing higher studies in energy economics. Those who have cleared the 10+2 examination (any stream) having attained a minimum of 50% are eligible for this course.
BBA (Aviation Management) is another undergraduate management course that gives students a robust exposure to the modern-day aviation industry. This undergraduate program comprises of subjects that enable students to gather comprehensive knowledge about the present state of the national and global aviation sectors. During the three-year study period, learners cover topics like ‘introduction to aviation industry’, human values and ethics, IATA travel & tourism, corporate social responsibility, airport functions of airlines, and cargo handling.
Successful completion of BBA (aviation management) makes a student competent for applying to jobs in customer service management, fuelling management, customer relationship management, and loyalty program management. BBA students can also apply for a position in the passenger reservations & ticketing, revenue management, and flight/data analysis segments of the aviation sector. The minimum eligibility criterion is a pass in the higher secondary examination in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
The MBA (Logistics & Supply Chain Management) course has a 2-year academic period divided into 4 semesters. Students, who opt to specialize in logistics & supply chain management, develop a solid understanding of the varied aspects of supply chain industry segments like materials management, transportation, supply chain management, and custom regulations.
