Thapar University Patiala Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The infrastructure of the whole campus is amazing. A few blocks look old but have all the new technologies and the rest of the blocks are new and well-equipped with technologies as well. The library of Thapar is one of the best in the whole world (it's among the top 10 libraries). Every block has multiple floors which have clean washrooms and water coolers for safe drinking water. Most of the block is fully air-conditioned as well.

The campus life is just like any other top universities, but the hostel in-time is 8:30 PM which makes it a bit less happening at nighttime. Numerous events are organised on a regular basis which makes the campus look lively and university life seems interesting. Mostly all the events are organised by the students only. One of the disadvantages is that the university takes a lot of students each year and there are 3,000+ students in B.Tech which makes the university very crowded, and it includes a lot of local Punjabi speaking crowd, so if you don't understand Punjabi then you might feel distant sometimes.Read Full Review

The infrastructure of Thapar is really beautiful. Classrooms are spacious, equipped with smart board, and comfortable benches. The labs are also well equipped. The Computer Science department is very well constructed. The library is the best place to study and is beautiful and spacious. There are so many spaces to eat and enjoy with your friends. There are various shops available for purchasing daily necessities and a salon present as well.

Campus life at Thapar is very enjoyable. There are many events organised by the constituent institutes and various societies are actively functioning. Saturanalia, the biggest event of Thapar conducts different activities for students including games, hackathons, competitions, etc. Fests are organized wherein famous singers are invited to perform. TIET, Patiala has invested heavily in its infrastructure making it comparable to that of the top Engineering institutes of the country. There are different academic blocks for different courses with excellent facilities. There are multiple labs for different subjects. CS department is a huge and has beautiful building with many labs, and thousands of computer systems that have best processors. The library is the one of the biggest in South Asia with thousands of books, magazines, and computers. The library is very beautiful and once you start studying, you do not feel like coming out of it because of its vibe. The sports facilities are also very good. We have a huge synthetic running track, synthetic basketball courts, multiple badmintons courts, football field, cricket ground, massive swimming pool, synthetic tennis courts, volleyball, table tennis, and many more. It also has multiple food outlets such as Jaggi food centre, and Ahaar food point along with multiple things to explore. Central park here is the most beautiful place with beautiful and large fountains and is a go to place in the evening.

The campus life is also good in TIET, Patiala. The crowd is very huge as students from every part of the country come to study here. There are many clubs that a student can be a part of from first year. Clubs like Toastmasters, Fateh, MUN, MLSC, and EDC are few of the best ones. There are many fests organized inside the campus with ‘Saturnalia’ being the cultural fest held in the month of November every year. It is an event that you cannot afford to miss.
