CT Institute of Technology, Jalandhar Hostel Details
The hostel buildings dotted throughout the campus arrest the attention of the casual visitor, thanks to their aesthetic design. The hostels have a connection to one another, majorly in sets of three. In other words, three hostel buildings are interconnected, enabling one to frequent from one hostel to another without having to step out of the complex.
Every block has a quadrangle in its middle that serves as a badminton court while a few blocks have a lawn in the center. Every hostel block features common room housing facilities, including chess and carom boards, table-tennis table, and a wall-mount TV. The hostel blocks have automatic washing machines and foyer of every block comes with a water purifier, water cooler, and a landline phone.
Students make good use of the common rooms for organizing parties and get-togethers as well as for holding casual discussions. Every hostel building has its gymnasium equipped with state-of-the-art workout equipment. All the hostel rooms contain bookshelves, closets, chairs, computer table, bedding, and a teakwood cot. The rooms also have WLAN internet or wireless local area network connectivity.
The housekeeping staff ensures that the rooms, restrooms, corridors, and hallways always stay spic and span. The learners can take their meals either in their respective hostel mess or in the college canteen. The food courts serve both non-vegetarian and vegetarian meals, and the student body prepares the menu representing cuisines from all over India.
The hostel mess also serves a wide variety of snacks including but not limited to biscuits, ice-creams chocolates, and pastries. All hostel residents have to strictly abide by the ‘code of conduct’ rules and regulations drawn up by the hostel authorities.
