Our course covered a wide range of subjects like PR, Marketing Management, cultural studies, advertisement, consumer behavior, and film criticism to name a few. At SCMC we were provided the best of both the worlds and they are media industry and corporate exposure. Our academics indulged a system where we had to do a lot of live projects as I felt that was the best way to learn and text learning can’t even compete with it. The course is divided in modules and submissions is what the college is more focused. It's more of a research work in media studies and as a proud student of the college we can blow college’s horn as much as we want and that won’t be enough in any sense. The audio-visual set up in the classes is just too good for one’s liking. The social distancing was easily maintained in the class even before the Covid-19 as the classrooms are so huge and the benches are placed at a safe distance from each other. The course emphasizes more on what we have gained rather than just milking and grinding the course books. After the first year, we had enough choices to choose our subject and journalism was my interest and enrolled for that. Immediately, I was hired by Times Now as an intern in the second year and worked with them for 6 months. As a student of SCMC, we even got the opportunity to visit the Times Now building and everything that I do today is because of what I was taught in those 3 years.Read Full Review

The course is more practical oriented than theory. We are given situation and are asked to work on that. The course was divided in 6 semesters and was divided in modules. 15 in each semesters and last semester had one extra. Grow digitally was the way forward and we served as interns in some digital advertising agencies and during our course we also got the opportunities to work with various ad gurus as well. Even in advertising we were given ample opportunities and options and we can choose to be intern where we like. At some point, it actually was like that is it for real. I could have never imagined for such a tailor-made course in which students’ study what they actually want. Thumbs up to the management for such a wonderful task in making sure that academic part keeps the student on their foot rather than making them bang their heads.Read Full Review
