Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication Pune Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

SCMC building had six floors as the top two floors are for SCMC and the 3rd and 4th for SID students. On ground floor there was an admin department, 1st floor we had many labs from audio labs to language labs, and second floor we had library and canteen. The campus is beautiful and has multiple canteens along with an outlet of CCD. The sporting facilities were a little sparse though because only the ones with a proper skill set were allowed to play the matches and others can use it only when it is not occupied. Well that never happened and therefore I never got an opportunity to play sports at the campus.

Every college of Viman Nagar used to have their own fest and our department fest was called DZMA. The annual fest that included all the colleges was called Sympulse which had back-to-back events for almost five days and we were the ones who were given the responsibility to organize those events.Read Full Review

Our faculty building was a single 7 floor building that accommodated Symbiosis Institute of Design as well. 5th and 6th floor were for SID and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor for SCMC. The top floor had a photography room, audio visual room, and has a small library as well. The campus was huge as there were other institutes as well in the campus. Playground, the seminar hall, and auditorium rooms were common for all the campuses. In addition to all of these there was also a CCD outlet and that made me a coffee lover as well. Media people need it as we have to work 24*7 and this was the reason I guess CCD decided to start an outlet in the campus. The buildings are new as this campus was built in 2006 and renovated again in 2015.

Media study is done in groups and therefore we had a lot of banter, pranks at the campus. All that we learned was at the college campus and the friends that we made was all done at this wonderful campus. There are various club houses and being a part of them gave immense pleasure. Loved every single pie that I had at the campus. Had fun and the best part was the farewell party that was celebrated inside the campus and the warm send off that we received from our junior was exceptional.Read Full Review

The building is 7 storied tower and two institutes like ours and Symbiosis Institute of Design were in same building. They occupied 2 floors, 1 was more of an admin block and rest 4 blocks belonged to SCMC. The building also had an audio-visual room, recording room, a photography lab and a recreation area. Apart from our building there are 2 other Symbiosis institutes present in the college campus. The campus is huge and there’s a huge auditorium in the campus. A huge playground, 2 mess, 2 canteens, and 1 Café Coffee Day Outlet as well. Medical facility is on board at the campus and there’s nothing that you don’t have normally at a University campus.

There are many clubs to be engaged in the pursuit of our interest. Interacting with students from different faculties was fun. I joined dance club and participated in the fests all 3 years. Like dance there are numerous other opportunities and the campus was a great place where I learned and shared my knowledge. The life at the college was fun and was nice to mingle with people from different walks of life.Read Full Review
