Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies: Admission 2025, Fees, Mumbai

During the year 2014, the Deviprasad Goenka Management College (DGMC) of Media Studies in Mumbai started functioning. The College enjoys affiliation with the University of Mumbai. Also, the College has the recognition of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

The Rajasthani Sammelan Education Trust is the College’s sponsoring body. And since commencing operations during the year 1948, the Trust has been engaging in various social, charitable, and educational causes. All the same, they have been providing educational opportunities to the society members.

Now, since more than 65 years, the Trust has been operating, imparting education from primary to post-graduation levels. More so, the DGMC is another initiative of the Trust to impart learning.

At DGMC, the objective is to train students for managing advertising, entertainment, and media. Also, the College is counted among India’s premier media institutes, imparting value-added media education. Besides, the Institute offers media professionals, researchers, and students an opportunity to interact with each other, thus generating value in the media field.

Moreover, the Institute has an innovative pedagogy for leveraging the potential of the youth while developing them into competent media professionals. Further, the College provides all the resources to the pupils for developing the eco-system of the media spectrum.

Indeed, a large section of the youth population is interested in pursuing media studies. And DGMC is increasingly being preferred for building careers in the media industry, owing to the Institution’s strong industry connect.

The pupils, at DGMC, can avail internships as part of their practical learning too. In turn, they gain expertise in editing, scripting, directing, and producing films. Additionally, the pupils have access to the best professional resources, experts, and facilities. The pupils can, also, avail live projects; they are part of the Institute’s course structure.

The College campus is based in Mumbai that is the country’s hub of the entertainment industry. Furthermore, the Institute offers world-class infrastructural facilities. Besides, the DGMC library is well-stocked. Here, there is a wide range of books on the different subjects of media management for the students to refer to. Additionally, the library subscribes to national and international journals and periodicals. The library, also, has an enviable collection of DVD’s that are on both curricular and non-curricular subjects.

The College conducts an array of media courses. These include certificate, undergraduate diploma, and postgraduate ones. Even so, there are programs in Sound Engineering, Journalism, Digital Film Making, Communication Design, Digital Marketing, Cinematography, and Film Television & New Media Production.

For applying to the College’s varied courses, the aspirants have to follow the DGMC admission procedure. As such, the students have to download the online application form. Post filling the form, the system generates a reference ID for the applicant. Thereafter, they are informed by the College authorities on the subsequent course of action.

The DGMC Ranking in India as per the Times B School Survey 2018 is 5^th position among the Top Emerging B-Schools in Mumbai. Also, the DGMC has the ISO 9001:2015 Certification by LRQA (Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited).

The College is, also, the recipient of the 'The B-School Leadership Award’ that was awarded during November 2016 at the Devang Mehta National Education Awards.

Further, the ‘Management College of the Year-2016 (Media and Communication)’ was awarded to the College for making a positive change in Society and the Academic fraternity.
