National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism: Admission 2025, Fees, Rankings, Ahmedabad

NIMCJ’s Post Graduate Diploma gives us to continue with the specialization we want. Studies and practical both were tough here but NIMCJ may be doesn’t know that we have made peace with living a tough life. Still in our teens going out to Ahmedabad with friends was cool but at the same time had many questions as well. In a year or so all of them were answered and I am more than happy that I joined NIMCJ. Media people have to work 24*7 and college made us learn the same lifestyle by asking us to do some research or project after the college. At start, it looked like we are getting bullied but that exercise gave us an anecdote on how things work in this field. There were hardly any night outs as our PG had a lot of students from the college and we would discuss only about that even after coming back from the college. NIMCJ is a baby in front of IIMC. As soon as the students and the faculty came to know that I have come from IIMC, they made the leader and asked to lead. In a way, I became the leader because what was being taught at the PG level here was not new to me. Here 12 months course means a complete 12 months because the internship happened during the breaks and there was just a 15 days break in the entire year. Even during Diwali, we had just 4 days holiday and likewise for all other festivals. NIMCJ was chosen out of proportion as I thought PG is required to have a big pay placement but no matter whether you have done a diploma or postgraduate diploma, the initial salary is always going to be less in the field of journalism. The two-month internship and my previous experience were enough to impress my new employees with whom I did the internship. More than the salary I was happy with the position that I was offered. While searching for the PG in Mass communication, I searched for over 100s of colleges. Symbiosis was one of the best but NIMCJ a lesser name than that give its students the same opportunities. Looking at all the permutations and combinations I decided to join it and can say that I took a wise decision of joining NIMCJ. Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication is again a 1-year course and by the time I entered my 20s, I was already a postgraduate student. My school friends were not even graduated by this time and I have a PG degree and a settled life. The college is good as it offers to learn that no other campus can. We are always up for new things and every day was a new day for us at the campus. The girl’s ratio was higher and this is probably the only college where I have seen it.Read Full Review
