DAV College Chandigarh Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

DAV College has separate on-campus hostels for its male and female students. DAV College hostels can accommodate 250 boys and 500 girls. The usual culture followed at the hostels is that the residents of these hostels live comfortably in harmony, treat each other respectfully, and are helpful towards each other. Moreover, the hostel staff is always ready to assist the residents when they require it.

DAV College hostel rooms are big, well-lit, and ventilated properly. All the rooms contain attached balconies to get some fresh air. Necessary basic furniture and amenities such as a study table, chair, bed, cupboard, mirror, curtains, and a fan are provided.

The washrooms of the hostels are maintained properly. Hot water is provided to the students residing in the hostels during winter.

DAV College hostel food is nutritious and wholesome. The food is prepared in a mess equipped with a well-equipped kitchen. Vegetarian food is cooked in this kitchen for the students while following hygiene standards strictly. The students also enjoy special meals from time to time. These meals are served on festive days and special occasions.

Apart from enjoying the facilities, students also have to abide by certain rules of the hostel. Some of DAV College hostel rules are:

• Hostel admission is strictly done on a merit basis.
• Students must be dressed in proper attire while entering different areas of the hostel such as the common room, the mess, and the hostel office.
• Activities like smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited.
• Disobeying wardens will result in disciplinary actions.
• Scribbling and dirtying the walls or doors is prohibited.
• Catcalling people from hostel balconies will result in disciplinary actions.
• Ragging in any form is strictly banned.

DAV College hostel timings for the girls are as follows:

• 8:00 pm for female students during the summer season.
• 7:30 pm for female students during the winter season.
• 9:30 pm for male students during the summer season.
• 9:00 pm for male students during the winter season.
